When we think fondly about someone who has passed, it is one of the greatest tributes you can give. Kevin, thanks for the good memories and putting up with a college roommate that was...less than refined. May you be resting in peace. Thinking of you on 4/17/2024.

As editor and publisher of our town's weekly newspaper, The Gazette, many times people will say "Thank you for keeping the town's newspaper going." I always reply that they should not thank me for I would not have been able to do it without the support of people at The Chronicle, specifically Kevin Crosbie. He encouraged us, found ways to make the impossible, possible. In so doing, he was not merely a newspaper publisher - he was a cheerleader for the value of newspapers who became our friend.

To the Crosbie Family & the staff at The Chonicle Newspaper:
I was very sorry and sad to hear of Kevin's passing. I have worked with Kevin for many years through his generous donation to the Relay For Life. I always found Kevin wonderful to work with. He not only helped us but he helped many other organizations with his community minded choices. He truly cared about making the Windham area a great place to live and enjoy. He will be missed by many. We, at the American Cancer Society, will keep you in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. My deepest sympathies to you all.

So shocked and saddened to hear about Kevin's passing. I enjoyed wonderful times working at the Chronicle from 1984-1996. Maintaining a small, independent newspaper is a monumental task in these tough economic times, but Kevin carried the family torch. The Chronicle is the Crosbie's legacy. I am the same age and have a young family myself. My heart goes out to the family.

I was so saddened to hear about Kevin's passing. I worked at the Chronicle from 1988-1998. Kevin was one the kindest people I met when I arrived in Willimantic .. all the way from Uganda. Kevin and my then immediate supervisor George Geers allowed my work schedule to be as flexible as possible to enable me attend college. I will miss his kindness and sense of humor ...

I worked for Kevin years ago before I remarried and moved to Florida. Kevin was always calm and compassionate - a top notch journalist and a warm, genuine human being. He thoroughly enjoyed the time Patty Casio and I made him an animated short using claymation and 'Tubie' in a little car, driving around town delivering The Chronicle. Kevin left some big shoes to fill, and he will be missed.

My prayers go out to the Crosbie family. Kevin had the rare quality of being a hard-line journalist who fought for the truth and a fair publisher with a heart of gold. He had faith in my ability and I'll never forget that.

Mr. Crosbie was one of the kindest and most genuine men I have ever had the pleasure to work with and spend time with. He was a great leader, teacher and father to his three wonderful kids. In shock by this tremendous loss I can only offer my condolences to his family. He was a truly remarkable man; one of a kind. I am glad I knew him. If you need anything we are here.
