Perhaps they are not
stars in the sky,
but rather openings
where our loved ones
shine down to let us
know they are happy.

Pete was truly one of a kind. He lived life to the fullest and accomplished so much. I have many wonderful memories of him including he & Ann's infamous 4th of July parties, playing tennis and watching tennis in VT. So many great times at their beautiful home, yard and woods.

So it is difficult to say goodbye to this man. A man known by many names, N.P., N. Philip, Pete but never by his "N" name! I am so thankful to have known him and to be welcomed into his family by him. I will truly miss his stories.
My heart goes out to all the "kids" and the entire family. I hope that he is once again dancing with Ann. Love from Pete's "favorite engineer"

To the children of Mr. N.P. 'Pete' Lord,
Caitlin told me tonight about her Grandpa's passing. My heart is just breaking for you all.....Mr. Lord was truly a gentleman and a scholar. He was a man of strength and integrity.I will miss him so much. The only thing that would stop my tears tonight was to think of him being together again with your Mom. They are now in a paradise that no island on earth could compare to....I hope that you will find peace in that belief.
