Will miss Vern, a very smart and open minded Physics scholar. Had several very pleasant lunches with him and you in Merrillville. Will be thinking of you and him as the entire office has been since Monday (when I realized he wasn't going to be here for tube testing)

Dear Linda - we learned of Vern's leaving for Heaven on Thursday of this week. I can almost see him exclaiming over everything he sees and encounters. How exciting for him but we know how much he will be missed by all who had the privilege of being included in his life. Our prayers are with you.

Vern helped our girl scout leader, Judy, and we had a blast in junior high in 1971-74! Thanks for letting us go night riding on the horses, too! Such fond memories of your great family. You will be missed! Heaven is happy to have you! Love, Theresa

Vern Leininger and his family became a part of our family in 1969, we raised our children together at Pike Township in Marion County. He made you feel a part of everything that he and his family were doing, although he had a very busy schedule. Yes he was very positive in his approach to all things. His Christian Influence will be missed.

There will be thousands of fewer smiles in the world from now on because whenever Vern walked into a room, he made everybody smile. We lost a great guy.

Dear Linda Very sad to see of Vern's passing, I have great respect for his knowledge. We had some memorable times on some of our inspections. When I see a beautiful cloud in the sky I know it was made by him stoking the old steam engine. Prayers with you.
