Lawrence Evaristo Obituary



Lawrence J. Evaristo, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 19, 2015 at Manchester Memorial Hospital, Manchester, CT. Loving husband to the late Eileen Smith Evaristo who passed in May 1954. He was born September 23, 1929 in New Bedford, MA to Cecilia Zyck Evaristo and Dominick Evaristo. He graduated from Greenwich High School in 1947 and was a veteran of the US Marine Corp. He was employedby the US Post Office in Cos Cob, CT until his retirement in 1984. He is survived by his children Elizabeth Bieri and her husband Robert of South Windsor, CT and Robert Evaristo and his wife Suzanne of Tolland, CT, four grandchildren, Sara Salerno, Shauna Powell and her husband Brian, Brian Salerno and his wife Lisa, Kyle Evaristo and his wife Amanda, and five great grandchildren Ava, Bella, Brady, Alex, Harrison, Mia and a great grandson that will arrive in May. His he also survived by his sister-in-law Maureen Smith of Greenwich, CT and a favorite cousin Fred Evaristo of Alpharetta, GA. Interment will be private in the spring in Greenwich, CT. In liieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
