I have had the wonderful fun of know Herbert for 44 years filled with much laughter and love. I will always remember when Herbert told me he wanted to lose weight. At that time there was a diet candy that u ate 2 before each meal, Enough for a month. When I next saw Herbert a week later and asked him how it was going, he had eaten them all the past weekend. And never forget that "balloons don't have wrinkles". I will forever miss Herbert and my wonderful Ann. Love to you all Candy

Dear Family:
The news of Herbs passing catches me in a distant place on the globe so I won't be there today. But my thoughts and prayers are.
Herb hired me in 1972 launching my post college career. I served as his employee from then until he retired. He was a man that was both well liked and well respected,a combination that can be rare. I am sure that I and others owe Herb more than we know. He had a good run but is still gone too soon . Gods speed Herb my friend.

Herb was a true friend. He helped me immeasurably when we formed the Canadian Division of the Fafnir Bearing Company. The ultimate description that I can give of any person, is that he was a man of substance. That clearly describes Herb.
My condolences to all who held him close

As a friend for 65 years and coworker for
nearly 30, with the passing of Herbert I mourn along with his family and many friends. His engaging
personality and good heart won him the
affection of all with whom he came in contact. I will certainly miss him.

Herb was a dear fiend to my parents Tony and Sandy Halsey when he lived in Mystic. They had so many laughs on the golf course, sailing or at the countless dinner parties or cocktail parties.

I am saddened to learn of Herbert's passing. My parents always admired him and partied with him on Fishers and in New Britain. They were Kathy and Reyn DuPont. I used to hear from Herb as he would try to come back to Sanibel from time to time! We always had a good time together! He will be missed. I am sorry for your loss. Kandi Sanger

As friends of Nancy Neeld, we met and enjoyed Herbs company until our last visit in Essex Meadows a short time ago. We had many laughs and golf fun with both of them and Herb had a joke for every occasion. He will be missed by many. Our sincere sympathy to the family from Josh and Linda Burrows
