Fred and Eileen Binford

Mary, We were very sorry to see Tony's obituary. Sorry we are so late in offering condolences, We are in AZ in the winter. I (Fred) met Tony in 1983, when my Mother was dying from cancer. I am still taking the medications he prescribed for me. He helped Eileen and me through some very rough times dealing with members of our family and extended family. Little did I realize in 1983 that ten years later he would admit me for 15 days to The Institute after a psychotic break. That experience has provided Eileen and me with invaluable skills we still use today assisting our 50 year old son Brian manage his severe Bi-Polar disorder. Brian lives independently in Denver, thanks in large measure to Tony. Tony took ( or pretended to take) copious notes, but without ever referring to them he remembered every word we ever said to him and the feelings we expressed. He was a good Doctor and a good man. Our prayers and love to you and your family. Fondly, Eileen and Fred

Thank you Sally for your condolences. He was sick for a long time, but you are never really prepared for the time when he's gone. How well I remember Design Review. I think we labored over some pretty trivial things back then. But I enjoyed my 9 years with some pretty nice people. Again, thanks.
