James Barding Obituary
Petal
James Everett Barding, of Petal, died June 27, 2014 at his home. Services will be Monday, June 30, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Petal followed by burial in the McLaurin Cemetery.
He was owner of Barding Alternator and Starter and served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Everett Melton and Genieve Barding and son-in-law Gene Swilley.
Mr. Barding is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Barding of Petal; his sons, James M. (Lisa D.) Barding and Robert A. (Gina) both of Petal; his daughter, Cheryl (Bill) Fielder of Petal; his step-sons, Ray (Kathy) Swilley of Hattiesburg and Randy (Reva) Swilley of Purvis; his step-daughter, Ann (Ricky) Burkhalter of Purvis; 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; two brothers, Richard and Roger Barding of Michigan; three sisters, Betty (Bob) Sheridan, Beverly Wisneski and Joann (Marvin) Elkins all of Michigan and his precious dogs, Ginger and Dolly.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 29, 2014 from 5:30 - 9 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Petal.
