MICHAEL EUGENE "SPED" JOHNSON

1974 - 2017

MICHAEL "SPED" EUGENE JOHNSON, 43, of Huntington, W.Va., went to be with his family on February 23, 2017. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, March 2, 2017, at 1 p.m. at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor James Wells. Burial will follow at Docks Creek Cemetery, Kenova, W.Va. Michael was the owner and operator of Tri-State Water Proofing. He was born on February 10, 1974, in Huntington, W.Va., the son of the late Eugene and Doris Spence Johnson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Scott Haynes Baker. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Pamela Johnson, and his precious doggy, Gabbie Johnson; four sons, Zane Jack of New Hampshire, Matt (Sarah) Fuller, Shane (Keosha) Meade and Cory (Kaylee) Johnson, all of Huntington, and two stepchildren, Tara (Greg) Peters of Nebraska and Kris Lambert; four grandchildren, Shaelyn, Kashton, Carson and Arianna, all of Huntington, and two step-grandchildren, Nathan and Brody Peters; two brothers and a sister, Ralph "Bubby" Johnson and Kelly, Little Gene Johnson and Jamie, and Kimberly Haynes Johnson; four nephews and two nieces, Cody Haynes, Brent McComas, Eugene "Fat Cat" Johnson and Bentley Johnson, and Destiny and Tayla Johnson; several special friends, Jason Miller, Darrell "Biff" Adams, Chris O'Brien, Mark Bowers and Mike Riggs, and his many friends throughout the West End. Michael never, ever met a stranger. He graduated from HEHS Class of 1993 where he was a star football player.
