Larry is a great man, he is very Filipino by heart. He again married my cousin Amy back home here in the Philippines because he himself believe how well marriage is respected and kept by Filipinos. I admire him by doing that. All the rest of relatives here loved him so much and will miss his presence. Philippines is larry's second home and he will be remembered.

One of my fondest memories I have with my son is how he loved to share with others. When Larry was a young boy he had some friends come over and wanted to take them for ice cream, so he got into my purse and took my only twenty dollar bill I had to live on that week so he could get them ice cream. Larry always enjoyed doing things for others it gave him great joy to see someone else smile. I love you and miss you dearly. love you always your mom.

I give my prayers and hopes for Amy, Liz, & Mandy because they have been tough through this whole thing. I hope that Uncle Larry is having fun up there and I can't wait to be with him especially when I learn to play golf and I can beat him. I still remember on New Years Eve when I called them and they had me on speaker phone so everyone could hear me and the thing that I will never forget is he said, "Well at least you can make us laugh tonight." And then he laughed and it made me so happy to hear that. I know that he was ready to go and that he's in a better place now, so I just want to say I love you and will always think of you.
Love your niece, Joredyn

To my loving brother who I will dearly miss. You were a joy to have in my life and I will never forget all the wonderful times we had together as children and as adults. I find great comfort in knowing that my time with you is not over it has just begun. You were my rock in times of hardship and a shoulder to cry on in times of great joy. I would like to thank his wife Amy for all the love and care she gave Larry during their time together. It brings me great joy know that someone could love him that much. Larry's girls are truly blessed to have such a wonderful father who devoted his life to them. He could never say enough about his family and how much he loved them. I am sad to have lost him but proud to say that he was my brother. I will see you again my friend some day. Get-R-Done! Love you, your sister Cheryl

I offer my sincerest condolences to Larry's family and his community. He was a true professional and encouraged everyone around him with his spirit, his attitude, and his indomitable will. We talked often of our faith and his example of christian love and his obedience encouraged me during some difficult times. We are diminished by his passing, but we are enriched for having him in our lives and as a friend. May God Bless.

Larry oh how I will miss hearing you say "Booper Marie" when I would call you. We lived miles apart most of my life but, one of my most fondest memories of you is when I got to come visit you and grandma in California for a couple of weeks. I had so much fun just hanging out and going to the military base and the beach with you and Amy. I remeber thinking I didnt want to go home because I would have to wait a whole nother summer to be able to see you. I always loved spending time with you and I'm very proud to say that Larry Dean Mingus is my uncle. I love you and will greatly miss you, but will never forget you. Love Booper Marie

May you rest in peace, and may your family find comfort in the thoughts that they will see you again one day. I will miss your smiles and long talks about your daughters, wife, and the trips you were going to take or had already taken. You were a very kinda hearted soul, and always a pleasure to be around. You were truly a one of a kinda person. You will be missed and thought about often.

One day, I asked Larry,
"How is it that you are always so happy?
You have so much energy, and you never seem to get down.
“GIT-R-DONE!”
With his eyes smiling, he said, "I know the Secret!"
"I asked what secret is that."
"I'll tell you all about it, but you have to promise to share the Secret with others."
"The Secret is this:
I have learned there is little I can do in my life that will make me truly happy.
I must depend on God to make me happy and to meet my needs.
When a need arises in my life, I have to trust God to supply according to HIS riches.
I have learned most of the time I don't need half of what I think I do. Since I learned that 'Secret', I am happy."
My first thought is,
"That's too simple!", But upon reflecting over my own life I will agree.
When did Larry realize his greatest happiness?
Sitting on the floor, playing games, singing songs or telling a story, this is a simple gift.
Now you know it too!
And now I pass his Secret on to you!
YOU have to tell someone Larry’s Secret, too!
That GOD in His wisdom will take care of YOU TOO!
May God Bless Larry
