Mary Ridgeway Obituary

DECATUR - Mary Elizabeth Clark Ridgeway, 87 of Rantoul formerly of Decatur died 5:30 a.m. Monday May 30, 2011 in Country Manor Nursing Home Gifford, IL. Visitation will be 1 to 2 pm. Wednesday June 8, 2011 at Galilee Baptist Church 3434 Christmas Tree Road Decatur, IL. Graveside service and burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. in Point Pleasant Cemetery Long Creek, IL. Memorials: to the donor's choice. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of arrangements. Mary was born October 19, 1923 in Ft. Wayne, IN., daughter of Ralph J. and Leola M. Kessler Clark. She worked for St. Mary's Hospital. Mary had also been a housekeeper for several Decatur Families. She was one of the first residents of Spring Creek Towers and had resided there for over 23 years. She was a member First United Methodist Church and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Mary enjoyed crafts and needlework and especially loved spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are her Daughter, Maryln (Norman) Bonnell of Rantoul, IL. Sisters, Sonya (Richard) Besalke of Decatur, Vera (Bernard) Robbins of Niles, MI. Grandchildren, Valerie Guyer of Rantoul, Vickie (Ian) Wolff of Bayshore, N.Y. Andrew Bonnell of Marion, IA. Grandson-in-law, Michael Gibson, Great Grandchildren, Will and Miranda Guyer, Joseph and Kaitlyn Berry, Evan, Cydney and Jordyn Wolff, Aaron, Paige, August and Madison Gibson, several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, granddaughter, Tracy Gibson, 2 brothers, 3 sisters, and grandson-in-law Lloyd Guyer. Obituary written by family members.
