Patricia Stuart Obituary

SULLIVAN - Patricia Garrett Stuart, 86, of Sullivan, died 12:45 p.m. Saturday (January 15, 2011) in Mason Point, Sullivan surrounded by the people who loved her. Celebration of Life services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Sullivan First United Methodist Church with the Pastor Charliam Renner officiating. Visitation will be at the church one hour before services. Private family burial will be in the Greenhill Cemetery, Sullivan. Memorials are suggested to the Sullivan First United Methodist Church. Arrangements by the Reed Funeral Home, Sullivan. Condolences may be sent to the family at reedfuneralhome.net. Pat was born June 25, 1924 in Cass, Indiana the daughter of Jo and Gladys Walters Garrett. She graduated with honors from Emporia State University with an instrumental musical major. She taught elementary education and music in the Wood River area, retiring in 1983. She played first chair clarinet in the Alton Symphony Orchestra for thirty years. Pat was a loyal member of the PEO for fifty years and will be honored this summer at their annual convention. Pat is survived by her husband of sixty three years, Ralph; children, Winnie Doxsie of Appleton, WI, Craig Stuart of Mansfield, TX, Peg Bagent of Bethalto, IL; brother, Calvin Garrett of San Diego, CA; six grandchildren and a great granddaughter.
