Thelma Tabbert Obituary

STEWARDSON - Thelma Mae Tabbert, 77, of Stewardson died Friday October 27, 2006 at her home in Stewardson. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Stewardson with Pastor Richard Bremer officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Brummerstedt Funeral Home, Stewardson. Burial will be in the Stewardson Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church. She was born May 3, 1929 in Shelby County, Ill. the daughter of William and Willa Reid Mietzner. She married Otha O. Tabbert in Stewardson February 12, 1948 and he preceded her in death April 29, 2000. She was a lifetime member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Stewardson and the Trinity Ladies Aid. Her husband farmed for 40 years near Holland and she sold Avon products for 25 years. She loved to quilt and garden flowers. She leaves a son, Bill (wife Donna) Tabbert of Strasburg and a daughter, Irene (husband Steve) Koester of Westville; 3 granddaughters, Beth Tabbert, Kelly Beck and Keri Vess; 2 step-grandsons, Clint and Mark McCormick; 1 step-granddaughter, Audra Eisenhauer; 2 great-grandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Mildred Weber and nephew, Gary Weber. Obituary written by family members. Online guest book at www.legacy.com/herald-review/Obituaries.asp
