BARBARA TYLER Obituary

TYLER, BARBARA REGINA, aka, Bobbie Jean Tyler, 76, passed away on 12/20 after a long illness. She is survived by her loving partner, Sally Cameron, nephew and niece Deacon and Debra Tyler and devoted cousins, Joy Lynn and Ken Hall, and close friends. Born Sept. 21, 1937 in Miami. Bobbie was the daughter of the A.M. Tyler, a Miami Pioneer and founder of Tyler's restaurants. She attended Coral Gables High School and Duke University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She taught in the Dade County Schools and later moved to Gainesville where she and her partner ran Group 5 Ad Agency, until her retirement when she returned to Miami. Throughout her life, Bobbie had a belief to make a difference by helping others. She was passionate about giving through teaching, no matter the topic or activity. Those that knew her, learned from Bobbie's wisdom, guidance, love and expertise, all with a sense of humor. She will be dearly missed. A contribution to a charity of choice is welcomed.

Rest in Peace, Ms. Tyler. Your family's restaurants were a favorite of mine back in the 1950's and 60's and numerous people comment favorably about them on my old Miami website. Godspeed Barbara Tyler!
