William Engler Obituary

Farrel Engler went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011 in St. Augustine, Fla. while visiting family members.
He was born Sept. 30, 1961, in Magnolia, Ark. to James and Maxine (Seastrunk) Engler.
He will be sorely missed by his wife, BeLinda Langner Engler of Bells; daughters, Callie Engler of Bells and Terra Hackett of Forney; son, Gary Hackett of Bells; father, James Mondell Engler and wife, Drena of Bells; sister, Linda Kay Engler Courson and husband, Harvey of Georgetown, Fla.; father-and-mother-in-law, Bill and Rudene Langner of Bells; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. His mother, Maxine, preceded him in death.

Farrel was an Eagle Scout and graduated from Sherman High School in 1980. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of honorable service. He worked for the Grayson Count Sheriff's Office in the jail as a jailer. Afterwards, Farrel worked for the Texas Youth Commission Gainesville facility. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, son and friend. Each life he touched was brighter for knowing him. He is gone but never forgotten.
A private memorial and celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

Wow. Bill was one of the greatest. My navy career was greatly influenced by him. So sad to find out he passed away so many years ago.

I was just shocked to hear of his passing. He should still be here. It is not fair that my younger cousin had to go before me. I wish I had kept more in contact with him and known him better as an adult. We played together as children alot but went seperate ways. I know without a doubt he is in heaven because he was so sweet to all. I will miss him. My prayers are with his family. Novella George Grice Idabel, OK

Farrel, I always remember how you and Virginia came to our home when you were on leave and stayed with us. I also remember yalls lil puppy being stolen from your car while it was parked in our driveway and nothing else was touched!!

You and Virginia always were so much fun to be around and I remember being a kid and coming to see you all in Sherman, Texas. I was always your Dad's birthday present from Mom and Dad. I love you and you will definatly be missed.

Love, Elizabeth Golightly and family.

Here's to all the family of Farrel. Our hearts are breaking with you. He was a special cousin to me and as I have said before I remember when he was born and Nan&Pap Seastrunk were in the bedroom in Arkansas along with his daddy. I love you one and all and I know the family were all their to greet him and say "Welcome Home" and now we wait for the rest of the family to come home. All our love.
