Kenneth Jerger Obituary

Denison -- Kenneth L. Jerger, 74, passed away July 9, 2014 at Homestead of Sherman. Graveside Services will be held Monday July 14, 2014 at 10:00 AM at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman. Chaplin Brian Spurgin will officiate.

Kenneth was born September 15, 1939 in Sherman and was raised by his late grandparents, Bob and Annie White. He graduated from Bells High School, and married the love of his life, Phyllis Reynolds on July 31, 1959 in Bells, Texas. Kenneth worked for Wyatt's Cafeteria, for 35years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sherman. Kenneth will be remembered as a devoted husband, whose world revolved around his wife Phyllis and their children. In his free time he enjoyed being outside working in the yard, and attending any and all of his children's activities.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Phyllis Jerger of Denison, Texas; son, Kevin Jerger and wife Doni of Argyle, Texas; daughter, Kimberly Shields and husband Chad of Tom Bean, Texas; grandchildren, Jared Jerger, Amanda Jerger, Brok Shields and Bret Shields.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Kay Beeman.

The family would like to express a deep heartfelt thank you to the staff of Heart to Heart Hospice and Homestead of Sherman.
