Charles M. Jasper, Jr.

Charles M. Jasper, Jr. was born June 16, 1955 in Paintsville, KY, and went to Heaven on March 16, 2011, to be with grandparents and other loved ones who passed on before him.
Charlie is survived by his mother, Joanne Kerr; and stepfather, Charles A. Kerr ll of Everett; his uncle, Rodney A. Staten of Seattle; his aunts, Nancy Smith and Dottye Tracy of Las Vegas, NV; and many wonderful cousins.
He was a loving son and an intelligent, generous, and caring man who enjoyed listening to classical music and, as a young man, had his own rock band for a couple of years.
Charlie graduated from Northglenn High School in Colorado and was a long-time member of Seattle Seafair Parade Marshals. He enjoyed taking pictures of the parades and was their unofficial photographer. He loved putting a parade down the street and worked many different positions as a parade marshal. The Torchlight parade and the Marysville Strawberry parade were his two favorites. He also enjoyed bowling, playing games and was a hard working volunteer, as well as a resident of Everett for more than 20 years.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation be made to Volunteers of America Food Bank, 1230 Broadway, Everett, WA 98201.
In celebration of Charlie's life, there will be a memorial service on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Solie Funeral Home, 3301 Colby Avenue, Everett, WA 98201.
