Frances Brown Obituary

October 11, 1927 - July 27, 2016 Frances Belle Brown, a life-long resident of the Everett, Wash. area, died at home in Marysville, Wash. on Wednesday, July 27, 2016. Frances was born October 11, 1927 in Everett, to Walter and Eunice Severine. Her faith and her family were her heart and she shined in both roles. She met her sweetheart, Robert Brown, and they were married on August 6, 1949. They made their home in Everett, where they raised their three children. Frances was a telephone operator for the Everett West Coast Telephone Co (now Verizon) in the 1950's and early 60's. When her children arrived she hung up her headset to stay at home. She loved to cook and make our home special, sewing, decorating cakes, and other crafts for her family. Music brought her joy and she would spontaneously spring into song, dance or both whenever the mood stuck her. Frances loved to travel, taking family vacations to California, camping in eastern Washington and later traveling around the U.S. She was active in the First Baptist Church in Marysville, Wash. for many years, and later in the Berean Baptist Church in Marysville. She is survived by her husband, Bob; daughter, Terry (Joe) Ozimek; sons: Mike (Deborah) Brown and Tim (Debbie) Brown, also grandchildren: Jason, Monica, Lyle and Ashley; and one great-granddaughter, Maddison. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Berean Baptist Church, 601 Delta Ave, Marysville. There will be a viewing at the Schaefer-Shipman Funeral home in Marysville from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. (www.dignitymemorial.com/schaefer-shipman-funeral-home) In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make contributions to the local Hospice Foundation. Arrangements can be made by calling 425-261-4800. The family will be forever grateful to them for their exceptional care.

I remember Fran when I used to cut her hair. What a sweet sweet lady she was. So sorry to see she has passed but I know that she had strong faith in our lord and she is now in the comfort of his Holy Kingdom.
Looking at her beautiful face brings a smile to mine reflecting on my memories of her. She had a beautiful yard at the time I knew her and she was so proud and loved all her flowers. Prayers to her family at this difficult time, she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

It's so hard, losing someone you love. When my mom died, I don't know how may times I went to the phone to call her before I remembered that she was gone. Fran was a beautiful person and you will have many fond memories of her in the years to come and I hope you can find comfort in the fact that she has gone to a better place; free of pain and disability. I love you all, Kathie
