Donald G. Groat

Donald G. Groat, 76, of Granite Falls, WA died February 8 2011. Donald was born December 29, 1935 in Black Butte, Oregon to Elmer and Juliet Groat. Donald, a Washington native, will be most remembered for his career in the logging industry. However he started his first career in the Navy, on the USS Gunstad Hall LSD in San Diego, CA in 1954.
He is survived by his aunt, Maxine Condit; three brothers, Delmar Groat, Raymond Groat, Richard Groat; his significant other, Omeda Ritchy, with kids, Randy O., Theresa L., Debbie W., John N., Ron R.; and his first wife, Donna Groat, with kids, Debbie E., Darrell G.; 18 grandkids; and 16 great-grandkids.
The remembrance of life will be held at 2:00p.m., February 19, 2011 at the Granite Falls Eagles, this will be a potluck. All are welcome.
