Sharon Schutter Billings

Sharon Billings, of Hayden, ID died September 3, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Everett, WA on August 13, 1949.
Sharon graduated from Cascade High School with the Class of 1967. She met her husband, Jim Billings there in the ninth grade. Jim and Sharon were married November 18, 1967, while Jim was home on leave from the Marines. They lived in Snohomish County until they moved to Hayden, ID and built their "slice of paradise".
Together Jim and Sharon shared their passion for farming and worked on building their home while living in a motor home until the house was finished in 1994. One of her true passions was gardening, whether it be her flower garden or her vegetable garden. The fruits of her labor were seen all around their home and in their larder. Oil painting and working with glass were more talents she excelled in to the benefit of her family and friends. She even found time to help raise beef cattle, hogs and chickens.
Sharon leaves her loving husband of 43 years, Jim Billings; son, James Billings of Lake Stevens, WA; daughters, Julie Bratton of Olympia, WA and Tammie Neighbors of Cle Elum, WA; and her brother, Richard Schutter of Bothell, WA. She also leaves seven grandchildren, who were a great joy in her life.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Al and Scottie Schutter; and brother, Jay, who passed away in February of 2009.
A celebration of her life was held in Hayden, ID on September 24, 2011 and was hosted by her many friends and co-workers from Frontier Communications.
