Michael Kelly Obituary

Michael Noah Kelly

Michael Noah Kelly, loving brother, husband, father, uncle, and grandfather died May 30th, at age 60. He was a kind, faithful man who will be sorely missed. He died of complications secondary to a terminal genetic neurological disease, similar to MS, that he had been struggling with for years. His family was with him when he passed. Family and friends were able to visit in his last days. In life Mike enjoyed the beach, camping, road trips, his church, and Bible study. His belief in God was strong, believing, above all else, God was kind and forgiving.
Michael Kelly was born on February 13, 1952, in Eugene, OR. At age eight or nine, on his own initiative, he began attending Mennonite Church of the Brethren. He graduated from Thurston High School, the Class of 1970. During his draft years he registered as a Conscientious Objector due to his Mennonite affiliation. He attended Northwest Bible College in Kirkland, WA to become a minister.
In 1976 he married Angela Jean Tieken. They had two daughters, Krista Nicole and Erin Rae.
In 1994 he married Maeve Ryner, whom he was devoted to for 18 years, until his passing.
His passion was blues music and trading in futures. In his mid 50's he traveled to New York City for the first time, with his church, to thank the first responders of 9-11.
He enjoyed his men's Bible studies. Mike retired from Coca-Cola in October of 2010, after 27 years.
On January 7, 2012 he welcomed his first grandson, Ramón Michael Kelly.
Memorial is Saturday, June 16 at 2 p.m., held at: Bauer Funeral Chapel, 701 1st Street, Snohomish, WA.
A reception will be follow, 3:30p.m. at Collector's Choice, 215 Cypress Ave, Snohomish WA 98290.
