I worked with Howard at Liama/Limra for many years. One thing I remember about him is that he had a collection of different colored glass electric street light pole insulators. My Brother-in-law was a lineman and he had a number of unique ones in his garage. I convinced him to let me have a couple of them and I gave them to Howard for his collection. He was delighted! My condolences to Howard's Wife and his family.

To the family of Howard Becker,
I first met Mr. Becker in May 1975 at LIMRA. I was so fortunate that on my 1st day of employment at LIMRA, that Mr. Becker gave me my endoctrination. You can't imagine the fear I had of going into the Vice President's big office on my 1st day. Mr. Becker put me at ease right away and made it clear that LIMRA was the best place to work and if I needed his assistance ever, he would always be available. He was right - some 39 1/2 years later, I am now looking at retiring to FL. I only wish that I knew he could have been just 10 minutes north of our new home in FL. When I think of Mr. Becker, I always think of that first day and what a kind and wonderful man he was. I could tell by reading his obituary that you all felt blessed to have him in your lives too. May the loving memories and God's grace be with you all.
With deep sympathy,
Bette Conlon

I worked a few years with Howard and found him to be a talented, intelligent man. But mainly I thought of him as being kind. That's a huge plus in my book. I wish all of his family well.
