Annemarie Post, 60, passed away at home on May 31, 2013. Annemarie was born and raised in the Netherlands, coming to Sarasota in 1987. She is survived by her husband, Alan Levin, and his and her family and friends here and in the Netherlands.

She continued conservation and horticultural work through the auspices of the UF/IFAS Extension of Sarasota County as the coordinator of the Florida Yards and Neighborhoods program beginning in 2000. She became Extension Agent of Environmental Horticulture in 2006. While working full time, she continued her education, receiving her Master's Degree in adult education. She was accepted into the doctoral program at the University of South Florida.
