Michael Rogge Obituary

Michael Andrew Rogge, 52, passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2012. He was born in Deerfield, IL to parents Thomas and Patricia Rogge who relocated to Englewood, FL in 1975. Michael enjoyed his Florida childhood fishing, until he found motocross racing and Lynyrd Skynyrd concerts.
Michael graduated from the University of South Florida and enjoyed a successful career as a CPA. He was most proud of his two wonderful children, Kevin Michael (17) and Karen Susan (14). Michael would smile with pride by the mere mention of their names.
Michael will be dearly missed by his wife, Angela, and his step-children, Aaron Cornacchia (20) and Amber Cornacchia (17), as well as their dogs, Teeka and Tazzy.
A memorial ceremony will be held on Thurs., Nov. 8th at 4:00 pm at Vanderbilt Presbyterian Church, 1225 Piper Blvd., Naples. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Collier County, 370 Airport Pulling Rd. N., Naples, FL 34104. For online condolences, visit fullerfuneralhome.com.

I was so deeply saddened to hear of Mike's passing. I cannot find the words to express my deepest sympathy to his family on their loss of this bright light and special sunshine on this earth that Mike represented. He was always there with a smile and positive remark. He embodied the spirit of optimism and tenacity. I am a better person for having known him and having been exposed to his great spirit, wit and entusiasm for life. Always he was smiling about his childrens' latest accomplishments, sports achievements and just the beaming of a proud Dad, with nothing to make him prouder than his chidren and their happiness. My thoughts go out to his family, and I hope they find comfort in their memories of many wonderful times spent with this loving Dad.

Mike was truly one of the good guys. He was the self titled "redneck with a white collar" and that title fit him perfectly! He always went out of his way to help people and personally helped me in my time of need. My condolences to the entire family. If there is anything that you need Angela please call me.

Mike has been my accountant through a very difficult divorce for over 3 years. He could always make me laugh and look at the brighter side of life even when it was dim. I will miss him dearly and my heart and prayers go out to his family who he loved so much.

I worked for Mike at Walden University. He was very good to me throughout my daughter's illness and I couldn't thank him enough for his help. Mike was an amazing person! He always had the ability to make others laugh and smile when they were feeling down or stressed. I had the opportunity to work with him and for him. Mike helped me when I was at my lowest last year. He was never too busy to take a call, respond to an email or open his doors to talk. I worked with Mike at Walden University for over 6 years. He was a dedicated, very competent professional who contributed greatly to our organization. He always talked about his children and proudly displayed their photos on his desk. I remember his love of motorcyles and Bike week and his occasional practical jokes on co-workers.
