Irving Cole Obituary
Jul. 24, 1927 - Apr. 13, 2016
Irving Frederick Cole, 88, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
He leaves his wife of 59 years, Ann Cole; his daughters Linda Cole, Cathy Cole and Susanne Navarro and her husband Chris Navarro; his four granddaughters; his sister Augusta Davis; and many close friends and relatives. He is preceded in death by his brothers Charles Cole, Sr. and William Cole, Sr.
Irv was born and raised in Northern New Jersey, the son of Harvey and Elsie Cole. After serving his country in the Navy, he joined his family business, Cole Engineering. After moving from New Jersey he spent his time between New London, NH and Sarasota.
Irving was an avid fisherman and had a lifelong enjoyment of boating and golfing. He also liked to travel and go skiing and always delighted in spending time with his family and friends.
A kind, gentle and loving man with a twinkle in his bright blue eyes and a ready wink and a smile.
He will be sorely missed and forever in our hearts.

So sorry to hear about Irv. He still had that kind face that I remember. My goodness, all the memories of Stratford Court. I remember the day you watched Joey while I went for the results of my pregnancy and you were the first one to know I was having twins.

Hello--I just wanted to share with you. When I was a teenager, we lived in Wood-Ridge, NJ next door to the Coles. I remember Irving. He went skiing with my brother. They used to have a Doberman named King. Mrs. Cole was so nice, and Mr. Cole
