Shirley Mae Angelocci

1924 - 2014

Angelocci, Shirley Mae (nee Cramer); died peacefully in her sleep at Oakwood Hospital on November 6, 2014. Like her husband of 65 years, Osvaldo “Vod” Angelocci who passed away in 2012, she was 90 years old. Now just 23 short months later, she joins him. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, Shirley’s life was devoted to her family. Whether she was laughing with them or feeding them, she was always engaged. Shirley’s generosity, infectious laughter and cheerful outlook became more apparent each moment you spent with her. Never seeking the limelight and always sporting a smile, her modesty and gentle nature are virtues to be admired and celebrated. Shirley’s support and understanding was assured, always believing in others even when times were most trying. The lasting memory of her loving kindness and dedication to family and friends will be carried on by all. She was born July 10, 1924 in Riverview, Michigan and was raised with three siblings, Alice Miller, Thomas Cramer and Alma Dewalt. She married Osvaldo “Vod” Angelocci on September 20, 1947. She is survived by her two daughters, Cindy (Charles) Gummer of Dallas, Texas and Cathy (Robert Garvey) Angelocci of Ann Arbor; five grandchildren, Chris (Alisha), Jay, Ryan (Michelle), Sean, Cindy; and six great grandchildren, Madisen, Abbie, Sonoma, Lexington, Marcus and Max.
