Charles Lichtendahl Obituary

Charles Lichtendahl passed away Aug. 30, 2011, at the age of 90. Charles and his wife, Irma, lived on the Hoback Ranches in Bondurant, Wyo., for over 30 years. His time spent in the West was near and dear to his heart, as were the community and his friends of Bondurant.
With degrees from the National Brewers Academy in New York, and an associate's degree in electrical communication technology from the University of Cincinnati, Charles was a brewmaster for the Hudepohl Schoenling Brewing Company in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Serving in World War II, Charles' military specialty was as an aircraft maintenance technician with training from the Air Force Technical School in airplane mechanics in Lincoln, Nebraska. As a member of the 792nd squadron, Charles received a Distinguished Unit Badge, and an Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon with a Bronze and Silver Star. He was a member of the American Legion in Jackson, Wyo. Charles enjoyed fishing the rivers, streams and lakes of Wyoming. He is survived by Irma, his wife of 65 years, two children, four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
A Memorial Service will be held at The Church of St. Hubert the Hunter in Bondurant, Wyo., on Sept. 24 at 3 p.m. If desired, remembrances may be sent to the American Legion Post #43 of Jackson, P.O. Box 4121 Jackson, WY 83001; or to The Church of St. Hubert the Hunter, P.O. Box 3485 Jackson, WY 83001. The burial will take place at Arlington Memorial Gardens in Cincinnati, Ohio.
