Betty Acosta Obituary
Visitation will be held from 6 PM until 9 PM on Sunday, December 11 at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma and from 8 AM until service time on Monday, December 12 at St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church in Houma. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 AM on Monday at the church; with burial to follow at Garden of Memories cemetery in Gray.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Marvin J. Acosta; children, Corey Acosta (Amanda), April Schieffler, Lacy Davis (Johnnie), and Jill Schieffler (Will); sister, Earline Lirette; sister-in-law, Janice LeCompte; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Annie Lapeyrouse Pinell; siblings, Eris Pinell, Joyce Cavalier (Claude), Edris Dufrene (Manny), and Velma Authement (Leroy); niece, Ann Dufrene; nephews, Robert Lirette, Kevin Lirette, and Marty Dufrene.
She was a graduate of South Terrebonne, class of '64.
Falgout Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
