Gertrude Babin Obituary
Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 20 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Houma, LA.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Babin; and brother, Marvin Dupre (Maude).
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Babin; parents, Willey and Loricia Bourg Dupre; and sisters, Rita Hebert and Rosemary Dupre.
Gertrude retired from the Houma Courier and was the owner of Gertrude's Snowballs on Morrison Ave.
Falgout Funeral Homes in charge of arrangements.

I worked with Gert at The Courier years ago. I have an item she made for me still haging in my home. She was a wonderful person.

I remember Mrs. Gert from the Holy Rosary Church fair in the late 70's early 80's??... she sold hot dogs... she was that sweet, i still remember her!1 RIP

Ms. Gert will be missed. It seems like yesterday that she was working at The Courier. She will never be forgotten. Prayers are with all of her family.
