Mary Dufrene Obituary

Mary Jane Dufrene, 81, a native and resident of Raceland, died on Saturday, May 28, 2016.

Visitation will be held from 8 AM until 12:30 PM on Tuesday, May 31 at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday at St. Mary's Nativity Catholic Church in Raceland, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

She is survived by her companion, Norman Robichaux; sons, Craig Dufrene (Brea), Darren Dufrene (Peggy), and Donald Dufrene (Rachael); daughter, Sheila Dufrene Gauthier (Steve); brother, Eldon Dufrene; eight grandchildren, Desiree Foret, Darren Dufrene Jr., Heather Dufrene, Aaron Dufrene, Brad Gauthier, Krystal Gauthier, Jordan Dufrene, and Lani Dufrene; four step-children, Brad, Chad, and Ryan Robichaux and Melissa Theriot; four great-grandchildren; and 2 step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Dufrene Jr.; son, Steve Dufrene; parents, Nacy and Hazel Rivet Dufrene; brothers, Jerry and Alton Dufrene; and sister, Patricia Domangue.

She loved to cook and fish.
