Raymond Gaubert Obituary

Raymond J. Gaubert Sr., 65, a native and resident of Lockport, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Friday, April 24, at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa Gaubert; children, Raymond Gaubert Jr., Ryan Gaubert, Tessy Gaubert and Jacob Gaubert; brothers, Sidney Gaubert Jr. and Ronald Gaubert; sisters, Mathilda Cantrelle and Sara Bonvillain; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Florence Gaubert; and brother, Xavier Gaubert.
Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.

We we worked together years ago. We just called him Gaubert. The memories are of a guy who was just fun to be around. Whether it was a serious conversation or joking around, it was always rewarding to get his take on things. The photo I see here made me smile, because that was his most notable look. What a guy. And one of the best welders I ever met!! Rest easy my friend!!
