Howard BRADLEY Obituary

Howard Bradley went to be with the Lord on November 28th. He was born on June 27, 1925 in Houston Texas. Howard was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Leon Bradley and brothers Robert and Richard Bradley. He married Evelyn Harvey in 1947 and they began a life together in Pasadena raising 2 daughters. Howard spent 35 years working for Crown Central Petroleum where he retired as Health and Safety Director. He organized a retirement club after he left Crown that met quarterly for 3 decades. Howard and Evelyn bought a lake house on Toledo Bend in the 70's where they spent years making new friends and creating beautiful family memories as they watched their grandchildren play in the piney woods. He was an active member of First United Methodist Church Pasadena, a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class, and a participant in the Levite ministry. Howard was a great storyteller keeping his audience in stitches. He loved his neighbors and often gathered with them for evening chats. Howard was a 60 year member of the Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his loving wife Evelyn Bradley, his daughters Leah Ibarguen and husband Mike, Lesa Crabtree and husband Bruce, grandchildren Ashley and Jarrod Wright, Amanda and Scott Gernander, Blake Ibarguen and fiancée Jennifer Wells, and great grandchildren, Kayley Wright and Henry Gernander. Howard is also survived by his sister in law Lucille Harris and other treasured family members and friends. The family would like to thank Resolutions Hospice for the tender care they gave them. A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 1st at 3:00 PM at First United Methodist Church on Fairmont Parkway. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the charity of your choice.

May the Bradley Family find solace in God's promises that one day, all sicknesses, sorrows, pain, and even death will be no more.

Howard was a tireless and really fun helper to Evelyn with her Brownie and Girl Scout troops beginning in the late 50's. As a member of that troop, I recall the many camping trips, meetings, cookouts, and meals that Howard had to endure--always cheerful, always smiling and laughing. He was very tolerant of all the antics and pranks that a large group of young girls could come up with. Howard was an early role model for me-- of what a dad, a husband, and a Christian man should be. Over 50 years later, I continue to feel grateful to the Bradleys for being such a wonderful valued part of my life. He will be missed; but his character, his ability to connect with anyone from any walk of life, his positive demeanor will not be forgotten. Love and blessings to you all!
