DONALD DAVIS Obituary

DONALD W. DAVIS, age 88, passed away Saturday, June 12, 2010. He was born on November 15, 1921 in Curranville, Kansas. Don was the last of 6 children born to Henry J. and Jessie Thomas Davis. He proudly served his country during WWII in the South Pacific with PI boats. Don married Beth Raines on August 10, 1946 in Memphis, Tennessee. For 38 years he was employed for Sears Roebuck and was mainly at the Wayside store in Houston, TX. Don enjoyed hunting, fishing and the times spent with his dogs.He is survived by his wife, Beth Davis; daughter, Elizabeth A. Guerrero and husband George; grandchildren, Dianne Cornish and husband Jason, Donald Guerrero and wife Danyale, Michael Guerrero, Jennifer Hoover and husband Nick, Martha Guerrero, Benjamin Guerrero and wife Nicole, Linnie Belle Guerrero and Elsie Guerrero; great grandchildren, Wyatt, Collin, Jordan, Ruby, Mia, Cassidy, Jerry, Lili, and Kaitlyn; and numerous other loving relatives and friends.Friends are invited to visitation with the family from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 6700 Ferris. A Memorial Service honoring Don will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 18, 2010 in the chapel of Grace Presbyterian Church, 10221 Ella Lee Lane, Houston, TX.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA.
