Reinaldo "Nando" Ramirez, 84, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 19, 2011. He was preceded in death by his wife, Natalia Ramirez and daughter, Kathleen San Miguel. He is survived by daughters, Debbie Putman, Carol Ramirez and husband James Thomas, Natalie Garza and husband Bennie; grandchildren, Eric San Miguel, Bennie Rey Garza, Mark Anthony Garza, Joshua Michael Garza, and Matthew Roy Garza; great grandchildren, Daniel and Johnathan Cruz, Alexa San Miguel, Alizea Morales, and Isabella Garza.
Nando leaves behind many other family members and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him as a loving and generous man with a great sense of humor and a winning smile.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, February 25, 2011 at Forest Park Lawndale from 5-9pm with a 7pm Rosary. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 2:30pm at Forest Park Lawndale's Chapel of Angels.

Mr.Ramirez was a fine and wonderful man. He was one of "The Greatest Generation", for which my generation and many to come owe a great deal. He will be sorely missed by me and many more.

Nando was our neighbor directly across the Salinas family since 1957. He & Nat and my parents were comadre & compadres. We have many years of wonderful memories growing up with the Ramirez family and the girls. When there was a new Beatles album, Nando was the first to buy it for his girls and we all shared it and danced in their garage! He drove us places and always had a funny joke to make us laugh.
El Dorado will never be the same to me.
He will be dearly missed and my deepest condolences to all the Ramirez & Garza families.
