Please accept my condolences. I credit Uncle Howard for my love of horses. He influenced my parents for my first pony so many years ago. He helped me learn how to take care of it, how to ride, how to have empathy towards that pony. I was 6 years old and have never forgot what he said to me when I was so over the moon with my first pony. I was sitting on her back while she was eating grain. He asked me, "How would you like it if someone was sitting on your back while eating?" That simple statement has stayed with me all these years. It stayed with me when I had an untrained filly many years later. Every step of training I did, I had Uncle Howard in the back of my mind. Time and distance did not diminish my love and respect for him.
