Jennifer Brown Obituary

JENNIFER SUE THOMAS BROWN, MS, RD, LD, a former resident of Houston died on Sunday, November 2nd at her home in Ohio surrounded by her family. She was 45. A Memorial Service will be held for her on Saturday, May 2nd at 1:00 p.m. at Christ Church Cathedral, 1117 Texas Street Houston, TX. At the time of her death, Jennifer was a much loved and respected clinical dietitian at The Christ Hospital, Cincinnati, Ohio. Jennifer had completed her Master of Science Degree in Nutrition at Texas Woman's University in Houston, TX in 2006, her Bachelor of Science Degree at University of Houston, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree at Scripps University, Claremont, CA. Born in Seattle, Washington, Jen, as she was fondly known, had led a nomadic life as her parents moved with the job to Oregon, New Jersey, Texas, California and England. She adapted cheerfully to each new situation. Attending high school at the American School in London, she loved the opportunity to study drama with the Royal Shakespeare Company and to travel with her school and family, literally, around the world. When diagnosed with bladder cancer in May 2007, Jen fought with her usual spirit and grit. She designed a respected diet and regimen for going through chemotherapy. Jennifer was unique - dearly loved by her family (husband Michael, parents, John and Christine Thomas, sister, Cindy, and brother, Jeff, and all other relatives) and many friends who will miss her warm smile, sense of style, creativity and caring. Her inspiration will live on in the Jennifer Thomas Brown, MS, RD, LD Memorial Fund at The Christ Hospital, 2139 Auburn, Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45219.
