John Fowler Obituary

JOHN H. FOWLER III, 64, passed away on April 11, 2014 surrounded by his loving family after valiantly fighting a lengthy illness.
John was born in Denver, Colorado on June 19, 1949 and was the oldest son of Jeanne and Colonel John H. Fowler, Jr. Being in a military family, John lived on many military bases throughout the United States and overseas, but Houston was always considered home to his family.
He graduated from Waltrip High School and attended the University of Texas where he was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon. He graduated with a degree in Finance. He was married to his college sweetheart, Georgette Seaholm Fowler for 42 years. They had 3 daughters that were the love of his life and of whom he was very proud. Family was always most important to him.
John retired from ADP in 2009 with 25 years of service. In his spare time, he enjoyed the game of golf and traveling with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father Colonel John H. Fowler, Jr, his step father, Retired Colonel Colin Walker and his brother Frank Fowler. His survivors include his loving wife, Georgette and daughters, Paige Fowler Hill, Dr. Lindsay Fowler and Jacquelyn Fowler, plus his precious grandchildren, Jacob and Ainsley who brought great joy to his life. He is also survived by his mother, Jeanne Walker, sisters, Stella Kingrey (husband Glen) and Sharon Alkire, brother-in-law, Bobby Seaholm, his aunt Patricia Barber and nieces, Kristi Johnson, Arlene Stains and nephew, Scott Stains.
John is loved dearly and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, at Klein Funeral Home, Champions, where funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 16. Interment will follow in Klein Memorial Park, SH 249, Pinehurst.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the American Heart Association.

So sorry to hear about John's passing. John was a wonderful person to work with and I will always be grateful for the training/mentoring that I received from him while working at ADP. He loved his family and spoke about them often, he always beamed with pride especially when he talked about his girls. My sincere condolences go out to his family.

Please know that we will be with you in spirit and prayer since we cannot make it to the services. Thanks for all the years of sharing him with us. John was a good friend, father and husband. I have many happy memories of the time we spent with him here and in Scotland. I suspect that he will find a way to be the club champion in heaven too. We are heartbroken at his loss and profoundly glad to have known him for over four decades. "Faith, hope and love and the greatest of these is love."

Love to all the Fowlers.
