Coach Ralph Aldridge was my first coach at Carver Elementary School in 1957/58. I remember him wearing all white and being demanding, fair and full of intergrity. He was always full of energy. I thank him for getting me started in atheletics and in life as " a big boy". I pray that the family will be comforted by God's Grace.

To me, true greatness in life is not measured by personal achievements, rather by the lives we enhance while here on this earth. That is why I shall always admire coach Ralph Aldredge. He was my coach and role model. A truly great man has left a positive impact on our lives and we are better people because of him. To his family, I pray your comfort and strength which only the Lord our God can provide for the days ahead. Be encouraged.

Coach Aldridge was my first ever track and football coach at Drew Jr. High. He took a skinny, shy and insecure child and instilled in him courage and purpose and confidence. I have thought of him often over the may years since last I saw him...I am still courageous and living a life of purpose.
