Gauthier, Viola E.

Viola E. Gauthier, age 92, of 1013 S. 15th Street, Manitowoc, died Saturday, June 25, 2011 at her home.

She was born on January 29, 1919, in Manitowoc Rapids, daughter of the late Louis and Alice (Coutley) Gauthier. She was employed for 35 years at the Mirro Aluminum Company, Manitowoc. Viola was the caregiver for the young children and pets in her extended family over the years. She enjoyed country music, baking and cooking and was the author of many prize winning recipes. She was a former member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and presently a member of St. Francis of Assisi.

Survivors include three sisters: Louise (Dolly) Sheraski, Las Vegas, Nevada, Alice Khail, Manitowoc, Elaine Holschbach, Manitowoc; four special nieces: Marjean Wachowski, Manitowoc, Jeanne Like, Glendale, Lynn Enerson & her husband, Gregg, Las Vegas, Ann Proulx & her husband, Rahlf; three nephews: Steven Khail, Joe & David Holschbach; five great nieces: Jennifer Dietrich & her husband, John, Lindsay Wiesner & her husband, Tony, Amy Hansen & her husband, Nick, Dana Etymezian & her husband, Vic, and Auralee Like; three great nephews: Eric Like, Brett Enerson & his wife, Yennis, Joe Holschbach & his wife, Jill; and three great great nieces: Morgan Dietrich, Lilly Wiesner and Ashlyn Wiesner. She is further survived by many other special family members including Ann, Dennis, Amanda, Sara and Amy DeWitt. Other relatives and friends also survive. Viola was preceded in death by two sisters: Dorothy & Sylvia Gauthier; four brothers: Earl, Edward, Richard & Carl Gauthier; and a special great niece: Dawn Holschbach.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2011 at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Gerald Foley with entombment at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, Manitowoc, from 9:30 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2011 until 10:45 a.m.

The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

Viola will always be our Auntie who we loved very much and will be greatly missed by all of us.
