I just learned of Elma's passing. She was my boss at the Texas Tech Library for four years while I was a student assistant, from 1983-87, and we kept in touch afterward. My wife and I would like to extend our condolences to her family. She was a fine lady.

Elma was my cousin and she was very good to my mother and father (Vira and Ellen Johnson). I will miss her. I would like for her family to contact me at [email protected].

I also worked with Elma during her tenure at the Texas Tech Library. She was dedicated and loved working with both our students and faculty. She was a very strong woman and dedicated to her family. Her memorial service was very moving and honored her life and memory. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. Tom Rohrig
