Danny Bannister Obituary

Danny G. Bannister
1950 - 2015
Danny George Bannister, 65, went home to join his Redeemer on November 15, 2015. He departed this world peacefully at his home in Boise from a progressive illness. He was born in Longview, WA on June 03, 1950 to Charles and Jeanine Bannister. After serving in the US Army in Vietnam and Germany, he attended college at Northern Arizona University to pursue Computer Engineering. While at college, he married the love of his life, Kay Knoll (1974). He enjoyed working for the INL for 28 years (retired).
He was a tender hearted man, who loved spending time with his Savior through daily prayer and studying of the Word. He truly loved God, and preached of God's gift of redemption to all. A longtime member and interim pastor of Gethsemane Baptist Church, he participated in Christian discipleship within the church body. He was an outstanding example of Matt 28:16 as he witnessed within his local community through home visitation, handing out gospel tracks, and leading in prison ministry. An avid lover of God's creation, he enjoyed exploring the Wyoming/ Idaho mountain wilderness with friends and family.
He is survived by: his loving wife, three children (Kelly Watson, Daniel and Austin), and 6 grandchildren. He is also survived by 4 siblings: Patricia James, Michelle Boska, Linda Brady, and Patrick Bannister.
A graveside service will be November 20th @ 10:45am at the Idaho Veterans Cemetery. The Memorial Service will be November 21st @ Fellowship Baptist in Meridian, ID at 10:30 a.m.
