Donald Kessler Obituary

Donald J. Kessler
Age 87, passed away at his home in North Canton on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Saturday, Sept. 2, 1922, in Canton the son of the late Philip and Alice (Henrich) Kessler. He retired from Ford Motor Company, in 1985 where he was a tool and die maker for 30 years. Donald was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, had been President of Board of Directors for the former T & C Credit Union. He was an Army Veteran of World War II.
He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Shelley and Jay Reiss of Jackson Twp.; son and daughter-in-law, David and Susan Kessler of Atlanta, Ga.; brother and sister-in-law, Harry and Carol Kessler of Hartville; five sisters, Sister Alice Kessler of Akron, Helen (Harold) Boeshart of North Canton, Ceil Gulling of Naples, Fla., Alice Blaumeiser of Jackson Twp., Jane (Chuck) Gulling of North Canton; sister-in-law, Terese Kessler of North Canton; five granddaughters, Tiffany (Mark) of Boston, Shannon (Adam) of Cincinnati, Jaymie (Brendan) of Jackson Twp., Leah and Lauren Kessler of Atlanta; great-granddaughter, Mara, and former wife Dorothy R. Kessler of Canton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Donnie Kessler and three brothers, Carl, Clarence, and Robert Kessler.
Funeral services will be held at Heitger Funeral Service- Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave NW, on Sunday, March 28, 2010 at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, in Massillon. Visitation will be at Heitger Funeral Service-Jackson Chapel on Saturday, March 27, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. Memorials can be made to Mercy Medical Center Hospice, 7568 Whipple Ave NW, N.
