Caroline Spragg Obituary

Caroline Conrad Spragg
age 83, died Dec. 14, 2014, from a rare form of cancer, angiosarcoma. She was born in Canton, Ohio March 26, 1931. She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and Kent State University. Caroline devoted her career to teaching in Canton City Schools. She loved to travel, garden and entertain. She was a member of Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Canton Woman's Club and College Club of Canton. She was a loving wife, mother and sister.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Leone Conrad; and brother-in-law, William Bertsch. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Dennis Spragg; daughter, Mary Ann Sponseller and son-in-law John Sponseller of Canton Ohio; son, Christopher Spragg and daughter-in-law Dr. Candace Erickson of Cumming, Ga.; granddaughter Chelsea Spragg of Seattle, Wash.; granddaughter, Cassandra Spragg of Augusta ,Ga.; sister, Joann Bertsch of Canton Ohio; nephew, Joseph Bertsch (Kathy) of North Canton, Ohio; niece, Susan Richardson (James) of Tucker, Ga.; and loving friend, Jeanne Pichel of Shelby Township, Mich.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 12 Noon at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church with Fr. Donald King as celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 4-6 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 3430 St. Michael Blvd NW, Canton, OH 44708, The Joseph and Leone Conrad Family Scholarship Fund, c/o Central Catholic High School, 4824 Tuscarawas Street, Canton OH, Mercy Home Care, 1320 Mercy Drive N.W.
