Priscilla Sponseller Obituary

Priscilla Jean Sponseller
84 of North Canton went home to be with the Lord May 13, 2015. Priscilla was born in Akron, Ohio Jan. 14, 1931. She was a graduate and valedictorian of Beloit High School class of 1949. She was a graduate of Mount Union College, where she was Homecoming Queen in 1952 and received her masters degree from Kent State University. Priscilla was a proud teacher, retiring from the North Canton City School System after 33 years of teaching. She was an active member at St. Paul's Catholic Church, will be missed by all her bridge and bingo playing friends and most of all loved her family and her profession.
Preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Emmet Weizenecker; and brother Bill Rohaley. She is survived by her children, Renie Britenbucher, Cheryl (Glenn) Saylor and Jack (Jodi) Sponseller; grandchildren, Whitney (Ben Rose) Britenbucher, Natalie Britenbucher, Chad (Bobbie Jo) Saylor, Jacob (Amy) Saylor, Michelle Saylor, Katie, Mitchell and Nathan Sponseller, Kelsey and Aaron Maag; great-grandchildren, Charlie, Dyson, Grace, Micah and Noah; sisters, Marlene (Don) Tuel and Elizabeth Bissler.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday May 15, 2015 at St. Paul's Catholic Church 241 S. Main St. North Canton, Ohio 44720 with Fr. Jeffrey Stealey officiating. Family and friends may visit from 8:30-9:30 a.m. on Friday at the Reed Funeral Home NORTH CANTON CHAPEL prior to the Mass at the church. Interment will take place at North Canton Cemetery. Those wishing to send condolences or leave a special message may do so at the Reed online guestbook at www.reedfuneralhome.com.

Bunnie is a sorority sister (Alpha Xi Delta); I am also from Mount Union, and I have many fond and fun memories of our alumni meetings.We lived next door and I remember the kids washing my car! Those are the times I'll remember. My sympathy is extended.
