Sarah Jane Pyland-Patterson

76, Franklin, passed away Friday, October 7, 2011. Sarah was born on December 24, 1934 in Jersey Shore, PA to the late Kline E. and Sarah E. (Miller) Frank.

Sarah worked in housekeeping for Mariner Health Nursing Home in FL. She enjoyed playing cards and bowling. She had a tremendous amount of spunk. Sarah was also a very likeable person and knew no stranger. Most of all, her children and grandchildren will greatly miss her.

Sarah is survived by her loving children, Bob Pyland (Shelia), Linda Kidd (Bob), Kim Pyland (Julie), and Mark Pyland (Rebecca); sister Janet Clark (Tim); 7 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe Patterson of 12 years; brother, James Frank; grandson, Jason Pyland; and great-granddaughter Samantha Kidd.

Forest Lawn Funeral Home is assisting the family during their loss. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood.
