Carl L. Huckaby, CEC, CEPC, CCG, AAC
70 of Indianapolis, passed away on June 3, 2013. He was born June 13, 1942 in Indianapolis to the late Chester and Marie Hilgemeier Huckaby. Carl married Leva Hammond on June 9, 1973 in Indianapolis and she survives. Other survivors are sons Carl L. (Melissa) Huckaby II of Greenwood, Darrel Huckaby of Indianapolis and Christopher Dale Lee of Orlando, FL; daughter, Tracy Ann (Kathy) McDonnel of Toms River, NJ; four grandchildren and brothers, Chester Paul (Mary) Huckaby of Greenwood and George Thomas (Joycelyn) Huckaby of Brownsburg. He was also preceded in death by his brother, William Huckaby. He was a professional chef for over 50 years. He is a member of Christ United Methodist Church. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 6 in Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Cen ter , with visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5 in the mortuary. A Masonic service will be at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the mortuary. Entombment will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. http://www.singletonmortuary.com

Carl presented my engagement ring to me in one of his beautiful desserts at Chez Jean many years ago. He was a fantastic man and I will always have fond memories of him! My deepest condolences to the family.
