BLASS ENRIQUEZ
Nov. 9, 1934 - Apr. 23, 2012
Our beloved father and grandfather, Blass "Tata" Enriquez of Brawley passed away on Monday, April 23, 2012 at the age of 77. Blass was born on November 9, 1934 in Westmorland, CA. He attended schools in Westmorland and then went on to work in agriculture as a tractor driver for over 40 years. He fell in love and was married to his soul mate, Gloria Munoz, for 55 years. Soon after marrying, they moved to Brawley and started a family that included five children. Blass's favorite pastime was spending time with his family and friends. He also loved fishing, dancing, landscaping and attending his grandchildren's sporting events. But to Blass there was nothing better than cruising down a country road or enjoying a cold beer with his wife.
Visitation will take place Sunday, April 29 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Frye Chapel and Mortuary in Brawley.
Chapel service will be held at 9 a.m. Monday, also at Frye Chapel with Pastor Frank Alvarez officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Riverview Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his wife Gloria who passed away in 1998.
Blass is survived by his daughters, Maria Enriquez and Charlene Noriega of Brawley; son, Ernesto Enriquez and daughter Julia Flores of Westmorland; daughter, Gloria Sanchez of San Jose; son-in-law, Salvador Noriega of Brawley; brother, Cesar Enriquez; sisters Rosie and Virginia Enriquez of Westmorland; Beloved Grandchildren, Armando and Blass Gutierrez, Ernesto Enriquez, Angela Cota, Crystal Villela, Salvador Noriega, Isaac Verdugo, Christopher Villela, April and Gloria Noriega, grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren. A special thanks to PMH staff, Frye Chapel, Pastor Frank Alvarez, Marverr and Andres Banda, Debbie Delgado, Alex Murillo and La Gente Car Club.
