Jonathan Tremblay Obituary
Jon grew up in Vernon, attending the local schools and Manchester Community College. With an interest in sports, he was a member of the Vernon Elks Championship Little League team and the Vernon Tornadoes soccer team, and loved playing street hockey. With a gentle free spirit nature, Jon was a strong, independent man who saw life as an adventure to be lived and experienced as much as possible. He traveled across the country, encountering many people and experiences along his way. He had a passion for reading and writing his own poetry and found enjoyment playing his guitar. Through his life Jon worked a variety of jobs from his first at Rein's Deli to his final at The Rutland Tattoo. He was hard working, always giving 100 percent to his work.
Besides his parents, Jon is survived by his brother Christopher and his partner, Casey Goshko of Vernon; maternal grandmother, Knoxie Mundell of Manchester; paternal grandfather, Raymond Tremblay of Vernon; uncle, Andrew Tremblay and his wife, Paula, of Tolland; aunt, Patricia McMahon and her husband, Michael, of Southwick, Mass.; uncles, David Mundell and his wife, Annette, and William Mundell, both of Georgia, and Michael Mundell and his wife, Karen, of Enfield; and nephew, Nathaniel Tremblay of Vernon; as well as many cousins throughout the U.S. Jon was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, "Nana" Lillian Birt Tremblay; maternal grandfather, Carl Mundell; and his uncle, Marvin Lee Mundell. Jonathan was deeply loved and will be forever missed by the many people whose lives he touched.
A service celebrating Jonathan's life will be held on Sunday Nov. 13, at 3 p.m. at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road (Route 83), Vernon, CT 06066.
Friends may call from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Cornerstone Foundation, 15 Prospect St., Vernon, CT 06066, or The Jonah Project, 435 N. Alhambra Suite B, Monterey Park, CA 91755.

I adored Jon and was a close friend of his for a time in his life I can never forget him and how young was still tears me up . Its just hard for me to accept even now because he was such a good person one of the best Ive known ;and to realize Im older now than he was then . Its just we were so young and reckless. Though he was the most caring person Ive known, the most sensitive and I loved that . I always thought Id have more time with him but life is fleeting and Ive learned to really appreciate my loved ones while youve got them . Anyways I keep Jon close to my heart always , Ive got his portrait tattooed on my forearm to remind me of him and the amazing man he was . I only wish i was afforded more time with him .. I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Jon. Growing up in school with Jon he would always know how to put a smile on my face when i was down. He was one of the kindess men i have ever known. Jon has been used by God to transform me. I will honor him by our annual giving to Skid Row and the ministries within it. It will be called Jon's Gift... where he can continue to love others and embrace their being lost sitting face to face with the Lord. Jon's Gift has given over 170 large bags of clothing each prayed over with encouragements and Bible tracts in each pocket, toys and over 380 Bibles.
