Ralph Nadeau Obituary
Born Sept. 10, 1916, in Saint Marcel, Quebec, Canada, District Richelieu, a son of Agenor and Rose De Lima (Blain) Nadeau, he spent his early youth in Canada then grew up in Chicopee, Massachusetts. Ralph raised his family in Somers, and then spent his later years in East Longmeadow. He earned his living as a precision machinist. He was a dependable, honest and responsible man who found pleasure in his family and in working his little piece of God's earth. Ralph was humble, grateful, and endearing to those who knew him. He loved life's simple things - time with his family, music, laughter, and a doughnut and coffee at the casino. Ralph lived his life cheerfully and peacefully. He was a parishioner of St. Michael Church in East Longmeadow.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving children, Donald Nadeau, of East Longmeadow, and Suzanne (Nadeau) Greening, of Portland, Maine; two granddaughters, Molly Anderson, of Portland, and Jill King of San Diego, California; and three great-grandchildren, Samuel, Alice, and Julia Anderson, of Portland. Ralph was also predeceased by his 15 siblings.
Family and friends are invited to meet Saturday, April 9, at 11:30 a.m. for Ralph's memorial Mass at St. Michael Church, 128 Maple St., East Longmeadow. Committal prayers and burial for Ralph will be held prior to the Mass on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Rose De Lima Cemetery, 49 Olsen St., Chicopee.
There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ralph's name may be made to Felician Adult Day Center, 1333 Enfield St., Enfield, CT 06082.
