Not sure what to say?

August 25, 2014

I woke up this morning thinking about Irv, who was the same age as my father and both in WW II. I remember his stories and his courage through out his life. We shared many tears together. I met him at Mt. Sinai when I worked at the day program. Carol

Dear Glick Family,
I have good memories of both Irv and Janice, as they were close friends of my grandmother, Helene Loeb, and my great aunts Lucile Rothstein and Rosemary Taxman; I heard my mother, Susan Curnett, speak so fondly of "Irv and Janice" over the years.

I am sorry to hear of Irv's passing, but I am so proud to have known him. He always seemed like such a special, thoughtful, and kind person to me. My family and I share in your sadness at this time.

I interviewed your father for my non-profit media company, Forward Observer. He was on my mind so much lately - now I see that he's passed. He was truly a hero and a gracious man. Milwaukee's veteran community will miss him. I know I will. ~Connie Ligman

I first met Mr. Glick and some of his family at Mulberry's Restaurant in Union Grove. They had taken him from the vets home for a meal out. It was an honor to meet him! I offered to visit him when I attended the monthly vets rec. comm. meeting at the center. I did so in Nov. and thought we had a great time. What a wonderful family you have! I came to visit this last Wed. w/a milk shake in hand only to learn of his passing. I was shocked...more because of my loss because it appears that he had a full life.

I just lost my Aunt Jean in May. She was a survivor of the Battle of the Bulge. She was 98. She and Mr Glick certainly were of the Greatest Generation!

Please accept my most sincere condolences.
