Formella, Herman E. July 14, 1928 to September 1, 2011. Beloved husband of 61 years to Geraldine (nee Stroika). Loving dad of Doreen (Phillip) Michaels, LuAnn (Bob) Matyas and Michael (Rachel). Cherished grandpa of Erica (Jeroen Fortuin) Johannes, Christa Michaels, Brian (Sara) and Brett Musgrove, James and John Matyas. Dear great-grandpa of Benjamin Fortuin, and Dylan and Mikayla Matyas. Brother of Virginia, Fern and Rodale (Trudy). Brother-in-law of Donald (Jeanne) Stroika. Preceded in death by parents Emil and Anna (nee Malek), brothers Emil Jr., Robert and George, and sisters Lorraine and MaryAnn. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Special heartfelt thanks to the staff at Harbour House and VITAS Hospice. Life Member of Jackson VFW Post 7240. Visitation Thursday, September 8, at ST. ALPHONSUS CATHOLIC CHURCH 6060 W. Loomis Rd., Greendale, WI, from 9AM until 10:45AM. Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM. Private entombment. We will always remember Herman's great laugh. I will always remember when I 1st was included into the family he was the 1st to hug me, him and Uncle Wally. He will be deeply missed. We are sorry we cannot make it due to a trip we had planned to KY. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
